What kind of flowers I planted in early March. The detailed report and advice on how to cope easily with small seeds
Welcome flower lovers! I decided to share with you new clothes in the "garden" on the window sill. March 2, I decided to plant the first annual flowers that decorate my flowerbed next summer. And you have already bought the seeds?
In early March, I sow on sprouts flowers with so-called "long growing season". This means that from the moment of emergence to first flowering takes place about 3 months. To plant pleased buds at the time of landing in open ground (I have this bed at the house, in the country and the boxes on the balcony), you need to sow the seeds in February or March.
Let me explain why I do not put in February. Daylight hours in my region (Tver region) is very short, because of what appeared seedlings will stretch without additional illumination. Due to lack of sun the plants into place growth. For example, here are the seedlings of geraniums, which I planted in February, because "scratched hands":
And in this state they are already 2 weeks for sure. These leaves leaves grow barely. Already can not wait until they grow up 2 full and I will finally dive into pots of geraniums and fertile land. These seedlings are planted in the "mini hotbeds with peat pellets" from fikspraysa, but instead full of peat tablets out there with the capacity kaKim strange substrate.
March seedlings catch frail planted in February. It is my experience.
So what I do today:
It:
- Red salvia sparkling with bright scarlet buds, it grows to a height of about 25 cm. It will be used for the second border beds in combination with an undersized snapdragons (I it will set later).
- Petunias 2 varieties ampelnyh for balcony boxes (citric and pink) and one two-color terry growing bush. It is very interesting what happens.
- Red Aster "King Size". Yes, this year I decided to make a bed of fire!
And now I show you how to simply sow small seeds of petunias. Of course, you can sow and "loose", but a little perfectionist who lives in me. Yes, and I planted in peat tablet. 100% works such variant.
The first thing I slightly wetted friable substrate toothpick to tip got a bit wet. Then I have to pour out the seeds from the tube on again damp cotton pad (so they do not roll out on the table):
Now, if you touch the tip of the toothpick a seed, it will be firmly fixed on the tip:
It now remains to put seed in its rightful place and, if necessary, push or sprinkle the ground. Simply and accurately.
