What you need to put in the hole when planting zucchini.
Zucchini is grown in almost every vegetable garden. Even a novice gardener can grow these unpretentious plants that do not require special care.
But, if you want zucchini to delight you with a rich harvest, you should still follow some rules for planting zucchini.
Zucchini is most often sown in open ground with seeds. But, if you have a desire to get fruits as early as possible, then it is worth growing seedlings.
We prepare the holes for planting zucchini as follows: the depth of the hole should be at least 20-30 cm. Put the nettle on the bottom and sprinkle it with soil.
Chop the greens in the hole with a shovel and in the process of grinding the grass is mixed with the ground. Then add the nettle and compost and repeat the steps with the shovel.
Thus, compost and shredded grass will begin to ferment, releasing heat and nutrients that are so necessary for zucchini.
After the performed manipulations, fill the hole with earth and water. When the water is absorbed, plant the zucchini. The seeds can be pre-soaked so that they swell and germinate.
To avoid the appearance of weeds, mulch the vegetable planting site. Water again.
Cover the well with plastic wrap or a cut plastic bottle to speed up emergence.
I usually cover the planting, since the crows that live in the nearest park can pull the seeds of the zucchini from the hole.
If it is not raining, water the squash.
