What I recommend to sow in June and still have time to harvest Bountiful harvest this season

June is a hot time in the life of a gardener, when all his green "wards" are developing rapidly and it is quite clear that a rich harvest is not far off...

But what about those who managed to get to the site only in June? Or those who have vacated part of the beds and do not want them to stand idle?

Personally, I am used to sowing my land abundantly in June, because many crops ripen soon, you can have time to harvest a crop that will definitely not be superfluous! And here's what I advise you to choose.

Carrot

It is good to plant it in the place where the cabbage or potatoes were taken from. Carrots love light, well-loosened soil. You can choose both early varieties - pulling out vitamin bunches of tender root crops, and late ones, which will go into winter storage.

To make the seeds germinate faster, they are soaked in warm water for 4 days before sowing.

Broccoli

It is believed that with a long daylight hours and heat, it forms small, rapidly decaying heads, but in my opinion, this problem is solved by sowing early-maturing, drought-resistant varieties in June.

I plant broccoli in a poorly fertile area - the excess of nutrients harms it.

Beet

Surprisingly, beets sown in June are stored better in winter than those that are grown in early spring.

And you can also sow leaf beets, that is, chard, but it is suitable only for seasonal dishes, since it loses its refined taste in conservation and when frozen.

Radish

A wonderful vegetable that you can eat all summer long, sowing it not only in June, but also until the end of July. The main secret of growing radishes is frequent watering - even a short drought leads to the fact that the roots are crooked, small, bitter and prone to cracking.

Salad

For sowing in June, headed and semi-headed varieties are more suitable than very early varieties, since the former are less prone to shooting.

On especially hot days, the salad should be shaded by stretching a special net over it.

Also, for the formation of juicy and delicate greenery, it must be planted at long intervals and watered every other day.

Corn

In the middle lane, it is possible to sow it only in June. Ideally, the predecessors should be potatoes, cucumbers or tomatoes.

In order for the corn to ripen early, the milk cobs are tender and tasty, every 2-3 weeks it needs to be fed with potassium and the soil must be loosened.
