Broken foundation bricks instead of rubble (reasonable economy)

The foundation is the main basis of any construction. The base must be strong and serve for a long time. Brick has been known to everyone for many years. It so happens that when houses are demolished, a lot of rubbish and broken bricks are obtained. And even when laying, a lot of broken bricks come out. It's a pity to throw it away. Is it possible to use broken brick in the foundation or not?

In general, most broken bricks are used to build a foundation. However, there are some nuances to consider. There should be a low GWL, the soil is hard and dry.

You should not get rid of such a valuable building material. The booth is suitable for arranging paths in the garden, landscape decoration, foundation, in a screed instead of expanded clay.

Booth is also applicable for the construction of one-story buildings. But for the house, it is not advised to add brick to the foundation. It turns out to be less durable and will not last long.

If you nevertheless decide to fill the bottle into the foundation for the house, then make sure that the broken brick is in the center of the foundation so that it does not protrude along the edges. Otherwise, the brick will absorb moisture, which will lead to a weakening of the base.

If the broken brick is protected from all sides by concrete, then moisture will not get into it. And it is desirable to grind the pieces of brick.

First, mortar is poured into the formwork, and then broken brick goes. Then tamp and pour the solution on top.

Booth is a free replacement for rubble. But only ceramic material of the middle fraction is suitable. Silicate brick breaks down faster. The proportions are as follows: part of cement, 5 parts of broken brick, 3 tsp. sand. As a result, concrete of class B7.5 comes out.

It is ideal to use a bottle for the foundation for a garage, gazebo, veranda, fence, chicken coop, shed. Use broken bricks for garden paths or between the beds in the greenhouse.

Often, bottles are used when installing fence posts as a filler. Sometimes together with rubble. After the post is installed, broken brick is poured, rammed and poured with mortar from above. Cheap, reliable and simple.

Crushed concrete is more durable than brick breakage. Moreover, crushed concrete is more resistant to temperature extremes and moisture. Therefore, if possible, use it for the foundation.
