In April and early June, I spent an unusually long time at the dacha. Indeed, last year the harvest pumped up. Many ovaries fell off, and the collected berries did not reach the size and taste of past years. It was necessary to find out what was the matter.

Thanks to my free time, I examined the cherished raspberry tree like Leonid Konevsky. And I noticed a strange thing: some of the young leaves acquired a strange reddish tint. I took a photo of the problem so that you, comrades, could identify an alarming sign in your garden:

On a note: Red leaves on raspberries are for other, no less unpleasant reasons: fungus and pests. But they are characterized by "pinpoint" lesions - the leaf becomes similar to a green-red Dalmatian. In my case, smooth redness without sharp boundaries. I think it looks a bit like a tan after a day on the Yalta beach.

And the reason for the crimson commotion in the raspberry is a lack of phosphorus. Nutrients in large quantities are used to ripen the berries and are washed out of the garden by precipitation.

The lack of the most important macroelement for any fruit plant - phosphorus - harms the entire bush. The root system develops poorly and, most importantly, the quality and quantity of the crop suffers. In advanced cases, the ovaries fall off or do not form at all - the raspberries simply have nothing to feed the berries with.

Fortunately, the situation is not difficult to fix - the main thing is to catch yourself in time, until you have lost all the fragrant harvest:

"Ambulance" for raspberries with a lack of phosphorus - a solution of potassium monophosphate. To make the remedy work faster, I not only spilled soil for them in the raspberry tree, but also fed the leaves on the leaf.

The recipe is simple: 30 g per 10 liters of water. I advise you to stir the crystals first in a little warm water and then pour into a large container. It's much easier and more efficient this way.
