I am not a builder, but I am building myself a house: an overview, a large photo report
Construction is a complicated matter - it seems so until you take up the tool yourself. As the saying goes: the eyes are scary, but the hands make and the decision comes by itself. Here comes the participant FORUMHOUSE under the nickname VETER_254 realizes his dream - he builds a house, although he is not a professional builder himself. What does he get - we look and read on!
Since childhood, I had a dream to live in my home, and now I am bringing it to life. I have a son, I planted a tree, it remains to build a house. Initially, I built the house with the help of a familiar bricklayer, because I did not know anything about construction at all, and then almost everything myself. Yes, it is inconvenient to be alone, but for a long time, but there is nowhere to get help.
Foundation
The foundation was poured together with a friend, he was in charge of everything, I was for the assistant. The fact that the corners of the reinforcement were tied incorrectly, I learned only later on the Internet. He poured 75 cm into the ground. Above and below 4 rods of the 12th reinforcement.
From the materials left: 5 cubes of boards, 1.5 cubes of bars, 750 meters of reinforcement, 500 meters of 4 mm wire, 15 kg of nails, film, 49 cubes of concrete.
Walls
After the foundation, they began to lay out the walls (again with a friend). He is a bricklayer with 15 years of experience, and again I was in favor of the assistant. But he laid out the walls only up to the level of the top of the window openings, then his vacation ended and he went to work. I had no time to wait for him, I wanted to build faster.
As a result, having seen how he built, I took the initiative and reported further myself. It was inconvenient for myself, especially in the garage, where the height is very high: I had to take a foam block with dimensions of 250-400-625 and put it on a knocked out boards, flooring on trestles, climb up yourself, then put the foam block on the scaffolding from there, and then climb up the scaffolding and put the foam block on the second scaffolding higher. Further, again climb yourself and only then lay the wall. Then again down these steps behind the second foam block, and so many, many times.
Roof
After completing the walls, I called in a couple of friends who helped to throw all the beams up. Then I twisted them with hairpins. Further, all this was filled with a reinforced belt with hairpins.
I was going to do the roof myself, but after looking at the roof of the neighboring house, which caved in in the center, I decided to hire people. But when I heard the price for the work, I wondered - is it worth it? But then the decision came by itself: I accidentally, met a man who made the roof twice as cheap as all the others bent prices. He also laid out the facing brick, then I did not dare to do it.
Windows, doors, wiring
Then there was the installation of windows and doors, the filing of the rough ceiling. Electricity distribution around the house. Now I'm thinking, I'm wise, how to make heating yourself.
This is how my dream comes true! I wish you all the best, successful construction and a successful season!
