Verka Serduchka is an amazing character who could not only make you laugh, or rather not just make you laugh, but also sing beautifully. It seemed to me that his songs, or rather "her" songs, were listened to "to holes" not for several weeks or months, but for several years. Until now, sometimes echoes are heard on the radio and not only. But no matter how close the rhythms are to the people, sooner or later everything becomes boring.

But let's get started.

When I found out that a young man was hiding under the character "Verka Serduchka", I was really surprised. This is not an easy role and not everyone can do it so enchanting and skillfully to get used to such a role. Ukrainian artist Andriy Danilko is one of the few professionals who proved to all those not who took him to acting schools, that he is able to transform into a woman, a grandmother, a girl - like no one other. If we compare roughly the path from a beggar childhood, refusals of admission under the pretext of a lack of acting data and to the top of fame, I can compare with the famous clown and the Actor with a capital letter Yuri Nikulin.

Danilko's rare monologues as a humorist were not particularly popular. At one of the humorous evenings, Verka Serduchka appeared, by accident. Andrey cannot live without humor. And without a stage he could not. And in this character he surprisingly combined both vocal abilities and artistry, which then for more than 20 years continued to give people an incredible positive.

Verka Serduchka turned out to be versatile. The artist in the role of Verka not only participated in almost all the shows, but also founded his programs, the TV show, where he the heroine either got married or worked as a conductor... They not only watched him or her, but listened to programs instead of songs and radio. After all, no one else could get used to the colorful character.

Who would have thought in the 80s and even in the early 90s, when Danilko was just trying to get along on stage, that he will become known not only in the countries of the former Soviet Union, but also in Europe, reaching Eurovision. And he got there! So…

At the height of fame and at the same time a scandal with an alleged farewell to Russia, the Russians, as they said, did not forgive him. Although... when broadcasts are banned and concerts are denied, the Russians cannot influence. The artist in Russia became a rare guest, every year less and less. And in recent years, nothing has been heard about him in the media space.

But the artist himself explained his absence 5 years ago by a personal reboot. Like, the image is fed up, it is getting old, jokes of the same type bore people, but there are no new creative ideas. Even in one of the interviews he admitted very sadly that he was in a prolonged depression, from which he was trying to get out. Therefore, he stopped touring.

Usually, for such a long idle time and the absence of other artists, the audience forgets and does not even accept again. But Verka Serduchka is still remembered, in my opinion, and to this day, for the new year and holidays, they include famous songs, which are already considered almost classics by the people.

Andrei Danilko devoted himself to the stage for so long and gave positive people that he devastated himself. In recent years, he can often be seen as a sad and not at all funny man, who has nothing in common, it seems that he has nothing to do with that bright Verka, whose image provided him for many years to come. As for his personal life, Danilko is still not married and there is no information about children. Perhaps this is the reason for his bad mood.
