In my case, among the sad consequences of quarantine is a 5-7 kilogram of excess weight, which I no longer put up with and ordered a sliding horizontal bar for a narrow opening. I remember that there used to be an ordinary rusty pipe hanging between buildings at home and I made it a rule to pull myself up every time I walked under it, at least 10 times.

This rule worked until he left the parental home. Now, here, there is a reason to return to your life the old order, if not completely, then at least partially.

There is no permanent place for the horizontal bar yet, but while one of the rooms is being renovated, he will definitely be there.

The horizontal bar was packed in a paper box corresponding to the length of the main pipe. The packaging indicates that the minimum width of the product is 83 cm, and the maximum is 130 cm. The main pipe diameter is about 30 mm. You can choose other sizes of the product, but chose the width of the existing opening. If the door frame is strong, then such a thing can be squeezed into it. Of course, it should not be made of MDF.

IN complete set besides the horizontal bar includes a pair of plastic pimples for centering the pipe for stationary installation and 8 small screws. But I did not use these pieces, since the position and place of the exercise equipment will change more than once.

The main pipe, 83 cm long, has shorter tubes on the sides, which are unscrewed in one direction. When installing, unscrewing the tubes to the required distance in the opening, a rigid spacer is obtained.

IMPORTANT! You need to fix the horizontal bar by twisting the pipes in the direction from which you will approach it. Then, when gripping from above on this side, the horizontal bar is additionally tightened and expanded under the weight. Accordingly, when hanging on the other side, it will gradually unscrew and fall.

The weight of the horizontal bar is only 2 kg, so it seemed that such a light pipe could not be strong, although the manufacturer's declared maximum user weight for this model is 140 kg. But even with my 90 kg, looking at this tube, I somehow could not believe that it would not break.

However, after installation in a suitable opening and a few swings on this horizontal bar, it became clear - it will stand. The pads that rest against the wall are made of rubber and very well fix the projectile on any surface without drilling, even on wallpaper! Soft pads are made of neoprene. They are glued to the pipe and do not move.

I tried to install a horizontal bar near the edge of the opening, since the door frame goes further from the door to the pantry. When he began to pull himself up, a crack was heard. Of course, I thought that this tube was starting to fold, but it was plaster that began to crack, a piece of which simply fell off, as can be seen on Figure 3, top left. If this happened after the renovation, then such a picture would definitely not please.

I realized that the horizontal bar can only be installed on solid brick walls and not have the support points close to the corners. On light plasterboard or OSB walls, such a thing should not be mounted. It takes 10 seconds to remove the horizontal bar. The tube just needs to be turned in the direction opposite to the installation and it will come off.
