A fence made of corrugated board: a trick on how to make it 2 times cheaper and more beautiful (replacing the strip foundation)

You can do a lot with your own hands. And if you still have imagination and ingenuity, then you can save well on materials and, in general, on the construction of a fence. A fence made of corrugated board consists of pillars and has one drawback - there is a gap between the corrugated sheet and the ground.

It is important to close this area to prevent dogs, chickens and other animals from entering your area. The fence acquires a more beautiful, finished look, soil washout and weathering is prevented.

Many people make a concrete tape (foundation) under a fence made of profiled sheet.

A running meter with materials costs about 1400 rubles. There is a way to make it more beautiful, 2 times cheaper and immediately facing (finished look).

Instead of a tape between the posts, you can lay out a curb. The curb is a low concrete strip. Slightly smaller than the curb. It can be located under the sections and close to the fence or at a certain distance from it.

The curb is placed when the fence posts are installed, before the installation of the sections.

So, instead of a tape, lay out a curb between the posts. Remove some of the ground in advance. We retreat 1 meter or 50 cm. from the curb and again along the fence we lay the curb on the solution. Cut off excess material with a grinder. Then geotextiles are laid and covered with stone (granite chips).

You can simply tile this place along the fence.

A running meter with a curb (work) costs about 300-350 rubles. In our case, the curb is laid in 2 rows. Therefore, the meter will cost 600-700 rubles.

If you pour the tape under the fence, you will have to pay 43,000 rubles. And if you use a curb with gravel, then the cost decreases (26,000 rubles). This is if we assume that the fence is within 30 m long.
