When you need to start sprinkling tomatoes from late blight.

Good afternoon, dear readers of the channel! Today I would like to answer the question that interests most gardeners: "when is it most effective to process tomatoes for late blight?"
Tomatoes prefer sunny weather, but unfortunately the weather often does not meet the requirements of these moody plants. Tomatoes feel worst when cold nights and fogs come, which are the main cause of a disease such as late blight.

And how badly such bad weather conditions fall during the ripening period.

When we grow tasty and healthy vegetables, we try to process them as little as possible. But unfortunately, if you do not help tomatoes in the fight against late blight, you can lose the entire crop.

What can you do to avoid the disease and grow "clean" tomatoes?

The simple answer is prevention. If you start taking care of your plants in a timely manner, you will avoid subsequent problems.
Most often, late blight attacks tomatoes from mid to late summer.

But it is necessary to think about the question of how to protect tomatoes from this disease in early spring before planting seedlings.

First of all, you should know that the spores of the fungus that causes late blight tolerate the winter in potato tubers, which often remains in the ground. Do not plant tomatoes in beds where potatoes grew earlier.

To increase the plant's immunity to this disease, apply potassium-phosphorus fertilizers to the tomato planting site. Then add copper sulfate to the seedling holes. It will deal with pathogens in the soil.

Two weeks after planting the seedlings, it is necessary to carry out sheet processing with superphosphate. To prepare a solution, you should take 50 g of powder and dilute it in one liter of boiled water.

Leave to infuse for a day, and then drain the liquid, but so that the sediment remains. Fertilizer is diluted in a ratio of 1: 9 (superphosphate solution: water).

During flowering, tomatoes are sprayed with fungicides.
When the fruit begins to form, it is best to use biofungicides, which are not as harmful to health.
Remember to pinch the bushes to provide good enough ventilation for the plant.

During the ripening of the fruit, it is best to use folk remedies: an infusion of garlic or onion peel. Some gardeners successfully use iodine or yeast solution.
