Why do I pour Sour milk in July on the Tomato garden. Top dressing, about which the neighbor told
It turns out that milk and dairy products are useful not only for people, but also for plants. I would never have thought that sour milk could make an excellent top dressing for tomatoes.
This was told to me by my neighbor who has been engaged in vegetable growing all her adult life (and now she is already over 70). Having tried this remedy once (to be honest, I did it just for the sake of curiosity), I was delighted with the effect obtained. and now I always in the month of July, in the midst of summer, feed my tomatoes with sour milk and share this wonderful recipe with everyone. Intrigued? Then I hasten to tell you everything.
Operating principle
Sour milk, used as a fertilizer for tomatoes, is an absolutely safe product that cannot have any negative impact on vegetables.
The positive effect of this product on vegetable beds is also manifested in the following:
· Provides quick and unimpeded assimilation of useful components in the soil by the plant;
· Saturates tomatoes with microelements necessary for their ripening, first of all, potassium and phosphorus, as well as calcium, manganese, copper, iron, various vitamins;
· Reliably protects tomato beds from late blight and various diseases of fungal origin;
· Creates a barrier against the attack of the mass of pests, which for the most part do not tolerate lactose, which is part of sour milk.
Which milk to choose?
Sour raw milk, which has not previously been exposed to high temperatures, is best suited for feeding tomatoes. In pasteurized milk, the concentration of vitamins and nutrients is much lower.
Special attention should be paid to the fat content of the product - it is recommended to use a product with a minimum fat content.
Recipe
In its pure form, using sour milk for tomatoes is not safe for plants, and I would not advise you to do this.
To prepare top dressing, I mix sour milk in the amount of 2 liters with ordinary water in the amount of 10 liters. I do not add any additional "ingredients".
Application
I use the ready-made milk composition for spraying tomato beds, abundantly processing each bush. It is more convenient to use a spray gun for this. I always do the processing in the evening and in dry weather.
Such a rational use can be found for sour milk, so do not rush to throw this product away!
