I made a template from a pet bottle. Why didn't I think of it before
The result is a tool that will help you quickly make markings on the same type of boards and bars. Sometimes there is a material of the same type, for example, boards or timber, which requires marking. Recently for this, made a template from a small door hinge, but during the manufacturing process I came up with an idea how to make it easier.
It couldn't be easier
To demonstrate the idea, I took a wooden block, wrapped it with masking tape, the main thing is not to overlap when winding, you will understand why this is necessary further. Then he cut off a two-liter PET bottle, planted it on a bar, where the masking tape was and went through with a construction hairdryer.
When heated, the plastic "sat down" and tightly lined the timber, now you need to cut it off, for this I use a corner to get an angle of 90 ° at one edge, and cut the other edge at 45 °. It remains to cut the jumper, and the template is ready, with its help you can quickly outline the cut corners.
Moreover if you get a large fixture, then easily mark out smaller materials, one edge can be cut off altogether and get a square, as you like. Why did you wind up the scotch tape, everything is simple here, this slightly increased the volume of the part, thereby the template turned out to be larger, which the will not get stuck when moving around the workpiece.
People, this is an idea that can be developed, and expand, adapting specifically to your needs. therefore appreciate, and if thoughts on how this can still be applied, share in the comments!
