Participant FORUMHOUSE under the nickname Juliamaltseva is building a dream cottage on the beautiful Ural lake Tavatui. Now the construction work is at the final stage and the equipment of the boiler house is in full swing. What the “heart of the house” consists of - a boiler room and how much did the equipment cost - read on.

Input data and characteristics of the house

• The useful area of ​​the house is about 120 sq. m.
• Heating - electric.
• Accommodation - summer and weekend.
• Well - inside the house on the territory of the boiler room.
• The contours of the underfloor heating were mounted when the foundation and floor slab were poured.

The main connections and wiring were decided to be made with plastic pipes. Why? Because there is a familiar and proven master who works with this material. I didn't want to look for someone somewhere. And here work on a friendly basis (my college friend). Everything is being discussed, and my husband calmly let go of this topic, choosing, together with a friend, a boiler, a borehole pump and an indirect heating boiler. Now we just get an application for the material, order it, I go, pick it up, without delving into what is being loaded for me, and my friend and partner collect it all on weekends. Yes, my husband could figure it out and do it himself, but, as usual, there is not enough time for everything.

A small minus of working with friends

It’s bad that we didn’t do at least a mini-project - this is a minus of working with friends: you don’t require much from them. So we buy too much, something is forgotten, we waste time and go buy it. And we also don't have large construction stores nearby. But everything must be treated with understanding. I hope that at least part of the excess will be able to pass. Although, as our uncle, who builds a house for himself a year, says, everything will always come in handy on the farm.

How is the work going; expenses

So, first a well was launched, otherwise, being left without water, it became completely sad... Now everything else is gradually being assembled.

A full-fledged launch of this entire economy will occur after connecting us to a voltage of 380 V. And here our plus of working with friends will work - they will not be lost, like an uncle according to an ad...

I will definitely add a final calculation to the story, since this is the most exciting question. So far, I can say what has been purchased. I did this in a hurry in the wake of the next surge in the dollar in March.

• Borehole pump - 21 thous. rub.
• Electric boiler - 37 thous. rub.
• Indirect heating boiler - 29 thous. rub.

Some practical tips

And my husband and I, after starting the well, decided to pour the floor in the boiler room with a self-leveling mixture to make it less dusty (so we liked it when we made repairs in the apartment). In general - do not do this, but everything has ceased to dust in the boiler room, but the floor has also become ugly, somehow grooved.

Be careful when printing boxes and packages, as when opening the box of the indirect heating boiler, we lost sight of the foam that was on top (we just took the box up). We were upset that there was no thermostat and some other details. Fortunately, on the second day, we decided to check the box again - everything was fixed in foam.
