Cucumbers are already blooming with might and main, it's time to make the most important top dressing, which will increase the yield at times
Cucumbers are the vegetable that every self-respecting summer resident or villager plants on his site without fail.
For example, every garden season I take out cucumber seeds in order to sow this crop. After all, cucumbers are unpretentious in care, and the harvest that can be harvested from this crop can be simply huge.
And so, what to do to make all plans succeed, and, ultimately, you could be proud of your work. To begin with, you need to understand that feeding is the basis of the success of the yield. For cucumbers, about 4 dressings are carried out per season.
I believe that cucumbers need to be thoroughly fed during their flowering. Many experienced gardeners will not let me lie if I say that feeding during this period makes future fruits stronger, of better quality and more beautiful.
So how do you achieve this result. There are a few tricks that I use regularly on this score.
First of all, I believe that organic matter is the best way to increase productivity in the garden without the intervention of harmful chemical elements, which are already in abundance in everyday life.
Infusion of bird droppings is just a universal remedy that I really enjoy using. The process of organizing this feeding is very simple - you need to insist bird droppings in a ratio of 1:15 for about 4-5 days.
Also, mullein infusion met all my expectations more than once. Next, I used 1 liter of finished fertilizer per plant.
I also believe that for some reason everyone has unfairly forgotten about boric acid and potassium permanganate, although these drugs always do an excellent job of increasing the yield of cucumbers.
To prepare fertilizer from boric acid, you need to make an obscene amount of effort. You just need to dissolve about 5 grams of boric acid in 10 liters of pure water, and add 10 crystals of potassium permanganate.
And in recent years, it was an unexpected discovery for me that about 50 grams of sugar can be added to this mixture. This will attract pollinating insects, which is also a significant plus in increasing the yield of cucumbers.
And, of course, fresh yeast-based feeding has become popular lately. I used a cucumber dressing made from 10 grams of yeast, which I diluted in 10 liters of water.
I left this whole mixture alone for a day, and then generously fertilized the plants at the rate of 0.5 liters of fertilizer per bush.
