What I was guided by when choosing an electric kettle and why I was satisfied with the purchase
When I first saw the illuminated glass electric kettle, I decided that I wanted one for myself. I decided to get acquainted with the assortment on the Internet.
Reflections when choosing
First of all, I was guided by the price. It turned out that the variety of models starts with budget options - from $ 8. The aesthetic side of the issue is equally important to me. I was looking for a device that I would love to look at every day. Not a long search led me to the Midea MK-17G03A electric kettle costing about $ 20.
Main characteristics:
• Volume 1.7 l;
• Power 2200 W;
• Weight 1.19 kg;
• Equipped with a filter;
• Installed protection system against overheating and switching on without water;
• The manufacturer gives a 2 year warranty.
There is a graduation on the body indicating the minimum and maximum volume of water for boiling. On the top of the handle there is a button for smooth opening of the lid, at the bottom there is a long switch.
The purchase did not take place online
I went to the nearest hardware store for the kettle because I wanted to check its smell. I recommend doing this when the seller checks the device for functionality. At the moment of heating, even hidden odors appear.
I must note that there was no smell even when I first boiled it at home. High-quality materials have been selected for manufacturing.
My findings
For a month of operation, I can note that the electric kettle works perfectly
The lid opens wide enough to conveniently draw water.
A significant disadvantage was that traces of dried drops, fogging during boiling and plaque on the bottom were very visible on the transparent flask. Initially, I did not think about this, so now I have to clean it often.
Do you consider this a disadvantage, or is it a convenient way to control the pollution of the kettle?
