Took a cheap pillow, a piece of fringed cloth and glue. Show me what a cool accessory I made for the bedroom

I will reveal a little secret - in order to sew something, you no longer need threads, needles or a sewing machine. 21st century technology allows you to decorate and ennoble your home with textile decor in just a few minutes. Intrigued?

Good afternoon dear friends!

Sumptuously! Then I'll tell you about the example of a seemingly ordinary accessory, which can be easily made at the lowest cost. Namely, about a fashionable decorative pillow on the bed, which will 100% add a little bohemian chic to the interior of your bedroom and make it much more cozy and comfortable.

In general, I will not waste time in vain, but I will go to the heart of the matter and introduce you to step-by-step instructions for making a cool DIY accessory.

1.Materials and tools. As I said above, the costs are really ridiculous, since you will need a light dense fabric to "sew" a pillow fringed, 2 tubes of glue (any second glue with a thin nozzle will do) and black rope, twine or woolen a thread.

And also scissors, pins and a ruler. That's all!

2.Cover making. First of all, we measure the dimensions of the fabric (for me they were 55 and 85 cm). We measure 30 cm with a side length and fold the fabric. Then we bend it in the opposite direction, measuring 10 cm from the same edge. This will create a small, neat fold. It is also necessary to secure it with pins from the sides so that it is securely fixed. The length of the folded section should be about 19.5 cm.

Under the fringe on the very edge, apply glue with a thin line and press it tightly to the fabric, securing the fold.

Take the second fringed edge and apply it to the top fold of the fold. Apply glue again to the very edge under the fringe and glue it. Be careful not to adhere to other parts of the fabric. Otherwise, he will instantly glue the textiles in an unnecessary place and ruin the whole product.

Now it remains only to pull out the pins and glue one of the sides, thus forming a small pouch.

3."Packing" pillows. No pillow? No problem! We fill the resulting "cover" with printed material. It can be natural filler (cotton wool, down, feather) or artificial (holofiber, foam rubber, synthetic winterizer). Or even old unnecessary things, textiles... And then carefully glue the last side.

If you want to use an old pillow as a "filler", then make sure that the dimensions allow it to fit inside the new decorative pillowcase. For example, for a piece of fabric 55x85 cm, the size of the pillow should not exceed 40x65 cm.

4.Adding a decorative "pattern". So, to decorate a fashionable pillow, you can use twine or thick thread of a contrasting color. First, we glue it along the bottom fringe, cut it off and get a discreet minimalistic pattern. By the way, if desired, the resulting cover can be supplemented with pompoms or tassels.

If you prefer more interesting ornate patterns, then they can be easily done in a similar way. Just draw the desired pattern with a barely noticeable thin line directly on the fabric, and then apply glue along the contour and attach twine or colored threads to it.

5.Interior decoration. This bohemian pillow will perfectly decorate any room in your home. And it will look great both on a bed or on a sofa, and in an armchair. From now on your rest will become even more convenient, "soft" and comfortable with it.

This technique of making a soft, stylish accessory is perfect for those who do not feel the craving for needlework, but at the same time want to decorate their interior in an original way. Still, sometimes it's nice to show off to friends and acquaintances the product of your hands.
