Maternity capital can be spent on connecting to gas: the bill has been submitted to the State Duma

By 2020, the country has been gasified by 70.1%. Approximately one percentage point is added every year (in Iran, 10 percentage points a year). The Leningrad region, for example, is gasified by less than 50%. Submission of the project on gasification of houses with maternity capital money to the State Duma should speed up this process and, in general, help to improve the quality of living conditions of Russian families with children. And, according to Galina Karelova, vice-speaker of the Federation Council, 90% of the program participants spend the payment provided for the purchase or construction of housing, and the issue of gas becomes acute.

What can you spend your maternity capital on now?

Now the maternity capital funds can be used for construction work and reconstruction of a residential building. Carrying out the communications necessary for a comfortable life will significantly improve living conditions. Considering that sometimes these are considerable financial resources, the new bill can become a good help for a certain category of citizens. Recently, the Ministry of Labor has also supported this initiative.

Inna Svyatenko also recalled that the president wants to extend the mother capital program until at least 2026. In March, the amount of the payment increased to 616,600 rubles (when the second child appears).

Why pay for free?

In early summer, the president instructed Gazprom and officials to develop opportunities to connect citizens to gas “without attracting their funds,” and to complete the gasification of Russia by 2024. Offers are already expected in October. Then why spend "mothers" if, so, they promise to do it for free? Igor Yushkov, who holds the post of a leading analyst at the National Economic Security Fund and the Financial University under the government, clarified that there is no need to pay for the pipe before the fence. But work on your site - yes. But is the amount of mother capital sufficient to give up the stove, firewood, coal?

The exact price depends on whether you need to open the road, for example, to lead a pipe to your fence, etc. The second stage is the design of the gas pipeline. Oblgaz designs how the gas pipeline will go through your site and where it will enter the house. It costs about 15 thousand. rub. The third stage is construction and installation work. It all depends on the length of the gas pipeline, but in the end it can cost several hundred thousand. "

Alexander Novak, Minister of Energy, believes that it is necessary to achieve 83% of gasification (now about 70%). This will take about 13 years. Probably, permission to use materkapital funds to connect to gas will help speed up the process, but we will not reach 100% soon.
