Of course, now there are a bunch of different products on the market that are designed to destroy weeds, but I would like to do without harmful chemicals... And there really are such methods!

To begin with, I will make a reservation: none of the methods of getting rid of weeds guarantees you an eternal result. Even dandelions sprout through the concrete.

That's why they are weeds: these plants are so unpretentious that they will germinate in any conditions. However, the methods that will be discussed today will allow you to keep the tracks neat for much longer.

Here's what you can do:

· Soda solution. If, after weeding, spill the tracks with boiling water and a teaspoon of soda, then you will achieve two effects at once: hot water will destroy the root system of plants, and soda will lead to alkalization of the soil, which will hinder growth plants.

Just be careful: if there are flower beds next to the paths, then they may be damaged.

· Vinegar and salt. Add 2 tablespoons to a liter of boiling water. salt and 10 - vinegar. Pour the paths with this solution (preferably at night), and in the morning you can easily remove moss and remnants of unweathered plants from them.

· A solution of essential oils. For a liter of boiling water, add 5 tablespoons of vinegar, a third of lemon juice and one tablespoon of clove and orange essential oils.

Such a mixture will not only effectively rid you of weeds, but also arrange an aroma session in the garden for a while.

· Use mulch, pine needles or sand to cover paths. These materials look organically on plots a la "English garden" and do not allow weeds to germinate. Only the thickness of such a coating should be provided for a very decent one - about 10 cm.

Don't forget about prevention too! You cannot lay the path directly on the ground: first you need to remove a layer of fertile soil from the ground. If you are planning to lay decorative stones or tiles, it is best to sprinkle the pebbles as a preparatory layer.

If, instead of weeds, moss constantly grows on the paths between the pavements, then the matter is in high humidity.

Prune tree branches that cast shadows on the paths, and watch out for watering so that moisture should not flood the paths on a regular basis. Consider how adequate the irrigation system is in your area.
