How to make a "Picker" of berries in 5 minutes without spending a penny. Berry picking increases tens of times
The berry harvest time is wonderful - seasonal desserts appear on the table and the number of cans with preparations for the winter is growing. But if more than one bush is grown on the site, then harvesting can turn into a tedious task.
Therefore, I made a “picker” that speeds up the whole thing many times over. And every gardener can get such a tool for free using my simple instructions!
First you need to take an empty plastic bottle with a volume of 1.5 liters and it is important to clarify that the container must have a cap.
Taking a marker, a contour is drawn on the wall of the bottle in the form of a large drop, the narrow and even sharp side of which is directed to the bottom of the bottle. Then you should carefully cut out a part of the bottle along this contour.
Some gardeners prefer to cut out another drop - its narrowed side is at the bottom, closer to the neck, and the wide one is at the top, closer to the bottom of the bottle. And on the wide side, the plastic is cut with several teeth.
So the "collector" is ready! It is very simple to use it - holding the bottle by the neck, you need to start the opposite edge "Drops" under a branch with berries and then pull the bottle towards you so that the berries are captured by the end "drops".
They will come off the branches and roll into the container, gradually filling it. It remains only to pour out periodically.
If we are talking about harvesting cherries, then since it has a greater strength of fruit, the "picker" can be improved. To do this, you just need to remove the cap and fix a wide hose on the neck, lowering its other end into a bucket. The cherries removed from the tree will immediately roll down the tree.
Based on my own experience, I can say that it is very pleasant to work with these plastic "pickers" - with thorny crops, for example, with raspberries and gooseberries, you don't have to prick your hands.
So it is possible to get even to the most inaccessible places of the bush, removing all the berries to the last and at the same time, without risking breaking the shoots, because you have to stretch with the whole body.
And warning of possible doubts I want to clarify - no, the berries with the "picker" do not crumple anymore. On the contrary, if you harvest by hand for a long time, your hands begin to get tired and it is natural that you can start to act not so carefully with delicate fruits.
It is also useful to know that according to the same principle it is possible to make a “picker” for larger fruits, for example, plums, apricots.
