When daylilies create a multi-colored garden without problems and worries
Daylily is a perennial plant with bright flowers of various colors, depending on the variety. There are four names in our garden:
· Aquarelle. Delicate pleasant color. Up to 4-5 buds can bloom on one stem.
· Frans Hals. Bright bicolor daylily. It looks nice and interesting.
Strawberry candy. The flower attracts attention due to the pattern of a darker shade inside the bud.
· Red Suspenders (Red Suspenders). The brightest variety of our flower bed with a noble ruby paint. The bud leaves are thinner than those of the previous flowers.
Daylilies are known for a variety of varieties. Everyone can make their own combination of colors. On our site, in the acidic soil of the Ural climate, the Aquarelle variety grows faster and blooms more abundantly.
The plant does not require special attention and care. Perfect for garden decoration.
Daylily pluses:
· Winters well under a layer of snow.
· Wakes up early. Juicy green leaves delight the eye in spring and the first month of summer.
· An adult bush from 5 years old blooms on average 20-25 days, which will allow you to enjoy flowers in the second half of summer.
· Reproduces easily. By dividing the bush at the age of 2 to 5 years.
· The plant grows rapidly. Suitable for the formation of natural borders, large compositions in the center of the flower bed.
In our case, a row of daylilies was planted near the wall of the house. The place is in direct sun most of the day.
With the ease of care and unpretentiousness of the plant, it is worth paying attention to several points.
Tips from the daylily lover's experience:
correct watering during flowering. Water should not fall on open buds. The drops burn the flower in the sun and traces remain.
with a lack of sunlight and heat, the daylily will grow, produce greenery, but there will be few flowers. The buds will be small. We celebrated this in rainy years. With the right location, the plant did not have enough light for abundant flowering.
be sure to plan a fairly spacious place when planting, counting on a large bush.
Daylilies have been delighting us for over 10 years. I hope you enjoy these lovely perennials too. Perhaps you have already had experience with planting such plants?
