Stop pushing insulation into the walls of aerated concrete houses

In general, there is a golden rule. The wall should be denser inside than outside. Then the house will not have problems with humidity and the unit will be dry.

Sad story about facing the block with bricks, there is a place to be everywhere, but this is a terrible trash, since they do not make a vent gap. And if you still shove cotton wool between them, then I'll tell you what happens.

A person breathes and cooks soup and generally lives. Humidity forms in the air inside because of this. This moisture crawls into the foam concrete wall and starts its way outside.

If the wall is made of a block, then at a certain moment inside the block, moisture passes the dew point and freezes. If there is not much of it, then it's okay. If there is a bathhouse inside the building, then in 3-5 years the block will begin to collapse because of this, in an ordinary house I have never seen anything because of this with the block.

This means you need to remove the dew point from the block.

We take insulation, such as mineral wool. The gifted will take extruded polystyrene.

Those who took the cotton wool are right, since the moisture after passing the block will come into the cotton wool, and will come out of it onto the street through the vent gap.

Those who sheathed the house with extrusion simply locked the moisture inside the walls, since the extrusion does not allow moisture to pass through. This situation is called "the walls do not breathe". Potentially soggy block and mold on the walls are almost guaranteed unless you live with windows open all year or have a supply of exhaust ventilation throughout the house.

Now about the vent clearance. It is needed between the cotton wool and the cladding so that the cotton wool does not get wet. The fact is that the block is denser than cotton wool and moisture will come out of it more slowly than it will steam out of cotton wool.

This is why the rule is tighter inside than outside.

The vent gap after the cotton wool is the space between the cotton wool and the cladding, with zero density, which means this ventilation gap will dry the cotton wool faster than it gets wet.

And now let's imagine that there is no vent gap, and a heater immediately follows the cotton wool, say a brick. Moisture will come into the cotton wool from the block and rest against the brick. The brick will suck moisture from the cotton wool slower than it will come into the cotton wool from the block. As a result, the cotton wool will collect water and sag. There will be gaps between the insulation plates, well, and a great place for mold inside the wall will turn out.

Another interesting option is when the block is lined with brick without a vent gap. We have the classics of locking moisture inside the wall with moisture-permeable materials. After passing the block, moisture will rest against the brick, and I will accumulate in the block, but in general the brick will remove it, but slowly slowly.

From blocks it is correct to make a cake like this: block, mineral wool, vent gap and facing with removable panels.
