What varieties of Cucumbers I will definitely plant next year, and which ones are better to Forget
In the garden, I have always appreciated variety. Therefore, in each season new, previously unknown varieties of vegetable crops appear on it for trial. This time, among them were cucumbers.
And perhaps my opinion on which of them are good for repeating, and which ones are better to forget, will be useful to some of the gardeners.
Zyatek F1
The perfect choice for fans of gherkins! Zelentsy ripen in bunches of up to 8 pieces, and on one bush of bunches can grow up to 40 pieces and more.
So in just over the summer it is possible to harvest up to 7 kg of harvest from one plant. The variety is unpretentious - it can be grown almost without fertilizers. And what is especially important - it demonstrates high resistance to diseases.
Taste qualities are excellent, there is no bitterness, they are crispy in the blanks.
Totosha
Ultra-early self-pollinated variety. Declared as resistant to adverse climatic conditions. Maybe! But at the beginning of the growing season, the weather should be good, the seeds are planted in open ground at a temperature not lower than + 25 ° C.
In order for the harvest to be decent and more than 2 zelents were formed in 1 node, it is required to apply fertilizer once every 2 weeks.
In my opinion, this is a too capricious variety, suitable only for those who have a dominant crop of cucumbers and there are practically no other vegetables that require care in the garden.
Moscow evenings F1
This variety has a lot of advantages! Grows well in good light and does not suffer in darkening. Bright, sweetish taste, pronounced cucumber aroma.
Taste qualities, which is remarkable, are not lost in the blanks. I recommend the variety for salads in jars for the winter.
This year, powdery mildew was the main disease of crops in the garden - but these cucumbers survived perfectly, practically did not suffer.
Sparta F1
This variety is praised as a late maturing and high-yielding variety - up to 11 kg per square meter, but with all my diligence I managed to collect only 6 kg. I watered them as it should be, but for some reason, when the hot days came, the ovaries crumbled together.
The vegetables are small-sized - 6-10 cm in length, the skin is rough. You cannot grow in a greenhouse - only open ground. The disease resistance is not bad, but the aphids just feasted on these cucumbers!
In general, Sparta F1 for me is a disappointment of the year. I also think so because they are not suitable for blanks, that is, you can only eat fresh.
