Cesspool: cleaning of silt, grease without pumping. Bacteria and another powerful remedy
A necessary device for a country, private house, dacha, which is devoid of centralized communications - a cesspool and a septic tank.
After a while, the pit stops working as it should, the water does not leave, the bottom silts up, and fat deposits accumulate on the walls. Pumping is required every 3 months, then every month, and then the pit is filled in a week.
A sharp, unpleasant odor appears. In this case, you need to immediately clean the pit.
Various biological products are now on sale for cesspools. They are able to reduce or completely eliminate unpleasant odors. There are different products: gels, granules, liquids, etc. Bacteria decompose the contents of the pit, sludge.
Sump bacteria. Help or not?
For example, a biological product called Dr. Robik 509. The manufacturer claims a powerful formula for the drug, which is intended for old sewage systems (septic tanks, cesspools). Just before use, you need to pump out and rinse the pit. There is Dr. Robik 809 - a disintegrator of detergents and soaps for cesspools.
Some say bacteria don't help. Money down the drain. But many people use them wisely and everything is fine. You must first fill in the drug Doctor Robik 509, after 7 days, fill in 309, and then, for prevention (in another week), fill in 109. The result is excellent and the smell disappears. There will be no problems with the cesspool, even if it is 50 years old.
If the problem persists, it is better to overflow. Next to the pit, dig another one without a bottom and make an overflow with a slope. Such a sewer will have to be cleaned much less often.
Chemistry for cesspools
The bacteria aren't helping? Caustic soda will handle and clean the walls of silt and grease. Sold in the form of granules or powder. It corrodes any organic matter, use with extreme caution! the chemical can adversely affect the soil. Therefore, do not abuse the use of such substances.
The cesspool will start working again, the water will begin to go into the ground. Be sure to wear gloves and glasses! Dilute the substance according to the instructions with water in a plastic bucket. The water in the bucket with the substance will heat up to 60 grams. When complete dissolution occurs, the contents should be poured into the pit. In a few days you will see how the pit is slowly but surely emptied.
