Don't buy a puncher. If you need to knock down the walls
I need to knock down the walls of the old extension in order to lay out new ones, there is nothing to worry about, because I recently bought a puncher. When installing entrance doors, it was often necessary to expand the opening. You outline the contour, and go along the line with a drill, then knock it down, so you can even cut out the inner corner.
Dismantling the walls
I decided to do the same with the wall, but the first bummer was that there was no long drill that would go through the wall, nonsense, and so it will turn out.
It did not work out, the masonry was made of limestone and shell rock, the material for the drill was viscous, I had to take up the sledgehammer, helped myself with a crowbar, regretted that there was no scrap.
It was possible to loosen the marked top piece, and throw it off the wall, broke not along the drilled line. Concrete then behaves more predictably. There is nothing to do, I grab the sledgehammer again, knock off the top piece, then break the corner.
I loosen the rest of the wall, dump it out, it's good that it is on the waterproofing, and is not connected to the wall of the house, there is a crack, the foundation sagged, and the extension detached. The other side just rocked and filled up entirely.
There is not much left, and you can clear a place for new masonry, which I will be laying for the first time. Come in, let's see what happens!
Conclusion - the hand tool has not lost its relevance, in this case, the hammer drill turned out to be useless, but the sledgehammer and the crowbar came in handy.
