How easy and simple it is to make an even corner on the ceiling plinth without using a miter box. Even a beginner can handle it.
In the process of renovation the border between the ceiling and the wall is rarely perfectly flat and neat.
Most often, minor defects still remain.
In this case, the problem is usually solved with a ceiling plinth. It is mounted quite simply with your own hands.
Problems arise only when joining corner joints.
Making an even corner is not always possible. And if there is also a special tool-miter box no, you can get desperate.
But everything is not as difficult as it seems.
There is an easy way to cut corners without a miter box. Which one? Consider below.
To exactly join the plinths of the ceiling plinth in the corner, you will need just a pencil and a stationery knife.
The first step is to apply the markup.
We will produce it directly in the corner at the place of the future fixing of the plinth.
For this put one bar close to the corner and on the ceiling draw a small line along the plinth with a pencil.
Then, on the opposite side, we apply a second plank and also draw a line.
At the intersection of two lines, we put point.
At this point, the plinth strips will converge on the side of the ceiling. Let's call it the top cut point.
Now this point needs to be transferred to the plinth strips.
Again, tightly press one plinth plinth into the corner and mark two points on it:
- from the side of the ceiling, transfer the upper cut point;
- from the side of the wall we put a point corresponding directly to the corner.
We do the same with the second plinth strip on the opposite side of the corner.
The markings on the planks are applied, you can start cutting the corner.
We place the planks alternately on a hard, even surface and make a cut with a knife along the applied markings.
After that, it remains to attach the trimmed strips to the corner and make sure of the quality of the resulting cut before further fixing.
