How to build a budget barrel-bath yourself in your summer cottage. I thought it was expensive, difficult and time consuming

What real gardener (summer resident) does not like to steam in a real Russian bathhouse? So I am no exception. I used to think that building a bathhouse is expensive, difficult and time-consuming. How wrong I was. As the saying goes, "fear has big eyes." I need to get down to business, since I decided.

The easiest way to build a barrel-bath is to order the lunar groove boards already cut to size (according to the drawing). This significantly saves your time, the option of an error with a cut is excluded and you do not need to spend money on an expensive power tool (special milling cutter).

It is not difficult to find a drawing on the Internet, I chose the option of a two-section bath (steam room and dressing room) for myself.

The most budgetary option is pine boards. Not as durable as a cedar building, but saving almost 2 times on material.

Doors, ventilation windows and boards for benches are also ordered ready-made. It is not difficult to mount them, basic woodworking skills are enough.

The floor in the barrel bath should be like a grid with small gaps. This is necessary so that the water flows into the soil, so mold and musty odor will not form.

Assembly of a barrel-bath

It is possible to assemble such a bathhouse for one person, but much more difficult than for two or three. So call your friends for help and go to work.

The main stages of assembly

· We collect the base;

· Assembly and processing of boards for walls with antiseptic;

· Internal wall cladding;

· Installation of doors and windows;

· Installation of the roof. My choice is soft tiles, because they are beautiful and not difficult to construct;

· Internal arrangement of the bath;

· Installation of the furnace;

· Installation of electrical wiring.

In terms of time, the entire assembly took us 4 days.

The final stage

A 4 * 2.5 meter barrel bath is ready and assembled in the garden! Kept within the budget of 82,000 rubles. We bring in basins, ladles, brooms, firewood, soap and shampoo, and our bathhouse is ready for the first firebox.
