The gazebo is a place of unity with nature. She is the salvation of the summer heat and a favorite hangout with family and friends.

A wicker gazebo is also an excellent base for climbing plants and a real garden decoration. It is not necessary to use expensive materials for its construction, and you can make a resting place from ordinary rods. So why not try building it yourself?

What do you need?

1. Rods, which will become the main material for the gazebo. It is best to choose straight and well-bending wood. It can be thin willow, hazel or birch.
2. Sharp pruning shears or small hacksaw, shovel and tape measure.
3. Binding wire and wire pliers.

That's all you need, you must admit not so much.

Where to start construction?

Of course, from the collection of materials, that is, the preparation of rods. You need to pick up even and equal-sized branches with a diameter of no more than 1 cm, otherwise it will not be easy to bend.

The next point is the preparation of the collected branches for weaving. We remove all leaves and irregularities from the prepared material. This must be done carefully so as not to spoil the bark, because without it the rods will quickly turn black and lose their attractive appearance.

The material has been prepared. Now is the time to prepare the place for weaving. To do this, you need to know the dimensions of the future gazebo and mark the territory. Then we prepare the base of our structure. To do this, you can use wooden racks made of pointed tree trunks, they must be of the same width and height, or use a metal profile as supports. We install the foundations and fill them with concrete, after which we wait a few days until the foundation hardens.

Weaving gazebos

The most interesting, but also the most time consuming process. You can braid the gazebo in different ways:

1. "Basket" is the easiest way to weave. From the first support to the last, rods are fixed with a wire, then each branch is passed between the posts in a checkerboard pattern. And so in a circle, securing the end rods to the last pillar.
2. "Rope" A more laborious method, it differs only in that instead of one vine, two are intertwined at once.
3. "Braid" Three branches are intertwined here between the supports, which run in a checkerboard sequence. A gazebo wicker in this way will be not only beautiful, but also durable.

How to make a roof?

It is not at all difficult to build a roof in a wicker gazebo. To do this, you need to prepare the frame. As it, smooth and thick rods are used, or reinforcement, which is attached to the ends of the supports and fixed from above to each other, thereby creating the base of the roof.

And any roofing material can be fixed to the base, it can be cattail or polycarbonate.
