Participant FORUMHOUSE under the nickname AndreyStrouSam I chose the project for about a year and stopped there, because “everything suits me”. No alterations: where there is a garage in the project, Andrey has a garage, where a boiler room is a boiler room, where a bathroom is a bathroom.
Difficulty choosing a facade
The house with a total area of 235 meters looks expensive, but somehow it is immediately clear that it is worth its money: a convenient functional layout, a large area, a beautiful facade. And the choice of facade finishing was the most difficult decision of this construction. With the construct, everything was immediately clear: the foundation was 550 mm tape, the walls were 375 gas blocks from a well-known manufacturer, the roof was metal.
The facade was decided to be faced with ceramic bricks. The choice of color was long and painful. I didn’t want to reinforce the stereotype that Russia is a country of light brick houses, I didn’t want to highlight the dark corners, like in all neighbors. The catalogs lied desperately: the color, in the picture, burgundy, in reality turned out to be cherry, and ivory was generally some kind of faded misunderstanding.
Do not buy anything from the picture!
From this construction site Andrey brought out an experience that grew into a principle: no matter how tempting the price tag is, always look at the samples; first touch, then order! As a result, I opted for the color “straw” and took it straight to the house and to the fence. The base is still sheathed with flat slate.
Walls without insulation and high-quality double-glazed windows
There is no insulation between the gas blocks and the brick. Andrey believes that this is excessive for the Moscow region - the main thing is to insulate the roof with the floor well and install good windows. The floor was insulated with 200 mm of expanded clay, the roof - 200 mm of stone wool, the windows were installed with a five-chamber double-glazed window. Gas heating, on the first floor there are radiators and underfloor heating, on the second only radiators.
Who built it?
All were built by three workers from Central Asia, and according to the project it was easy to control all stages of work. Andrey says that if it was being built now, he would have done everything the same way, the only thing is that he narrowed the tape - 40 cm, not 55, and, on the contrary, took a thicker gas-blocks. In general, he likes everything.
