What will happen to the gas water heater if the automation fails. 3 repairs on 1 request
I installed a new water heater, the old one failed after 14 years of operation. I told the hostess that in theory, it should be installed by masters from the gas service, but they answered, put it yourself, and then we'll check everything, cool.
Installing a new appliance
There is nothing special to tell, removed, installed a new one, changed the tap, replaced the cuffs on the old fittings. Automation on the column being replaced has failed, which controls: chimney, water pressure (flow) and burner flame. There is not enough draft, or the chimney is clogged, the sensor turns off the gas supply, if there is not enough water pressure, the column will not even start.
The automatics “did not see” that water stopped flowing, and did not turn off the flame (gas supply), the result can be seen in the photo. It's good that the chimney draft worked properly.
2 more problems
When you turn on the gas supply valve heard a suspicious "zilch", in an intermediate position, the tap strongly etched, which did not even have time to form a bubble when soaping.
It's good that this was immediately discovered, and in extreme positions everything was fine. I had to replace it with a new one. Conclusion, it is necessary to check not only in extreme positions.
The hostess complained about one more nuisance, water was dripping from under the nut of the new mixer.
It turned out that one gasket was pushed through during tightening, replaced with paronite, the problem disappeared. I noticed that it is almost a rule when instead of one breakdown you fix a couple more.
