How to pull out a stubborn nail. There is one trick
It seemed that the time of nails had passed, the era of self-tapping screws and confirmations had come, but no. This fastener holds its position, but not the way it used to be. But now it's not about that, I happened to disassemble the old roof over the outbuildings, and dismantle the door frames, of course, everything is on nails. But I want to keep some pieces of wood, they will still come in handy in a construction site, I had to pull nails from them, I suffered, but came across an interesting method.
Preparation
Especially I show it on a demo example, using a hammer and a pry bar with a nail puller. I hammered a nail into the box, now I need to pull it out, I hammer on the assembly with a hammer to grab the cap and pull, it goes, everything is standard.
And then the lever of the pry bar ends predictably, usually in such a situation they put something under it and continue to pull, but you can make it easier.
It couldn't be easier
The nail puller has a wedge-shaped grip with sharp edges, so I decided to use it, I put it along the box on a nail and hit it a couple of times with a hammer, the edges cut into the body of the fastener.
Now you can pull like a hat, the stop is over, rearranged and repeated the operation.
In this case, there is no need to substitute something for the editing, and the work goes faster.
The main thing is to have a normal nail clipper so that its edges do not become dull from such work, otherwise the method will not work.
