Why did you choose containers?
They rarely write about houses made from shipping containers, but this one deserves praise! Yuri is a musician. He needs to often visit the capital for his concert and rehearsal affairs, and in the near Moscow region he had a plot from where he could easily get to the capital. On this site, he dreamed of building a house for permanent residence, and somehow immediately chose containers: this is the fastest way to build, especially in winter.
What's inside?
The guy made his dream come true. His beautiful perpendicular container home is perfect for his lifestyle. The area of the house is 123 square meters: it has a large living room combined with a kitchen, two rooms, an office, two bathrooms and an entrance hall. Plus exploited roofs 35m2 and 75m2, as well as a winter veranda 38m2.
The roots of this house are drawn from the style of Soviet constructivism, which Yuri really likes. Laconic, beautiful and functional. There is no beauty for the sake of beauty, everything is for something: for example, a part of the second floor that hangs over the site - a ready carport.
How does it work?
The house stands on a concrete pile-grillage foundation. The box is insulated from the outside with an indestructible glass wool insulation 250 mm thick, a ventilated facade is made. The roof is also well insulated, with open drainage trays and gutters through which water and leaves are discharged to the ground.
Underfloor heating is installed throughout the house, there are no radiators. The musician is still heated by electricity, the backup heating system is a fireplace-stove, but it is possible to connect to gas. Yuri did almost all the work himself, although he had practically no construction experience. I had to learn everything on the go, every day, and so on for six months.
So that the music does not disturb the neighbors ...
Around the house there is a high, six meters high, noise-proof fence, and now there is a pleasant silence on the site, although there is a railway station nearby. “And it turned out to be a good house,” they write to Yuri on the forum. And we really like it, do you?
