Purchase of floor slabs for a house made of aerated concrete. Why I chose the PC series plates, not PB

Not all self-builders or customers for the construction of their home make slab or monolithic floors in aerated concrete houses. Wooden floors are lighter, in a rough version they are cheaper. But a tree is a tree. There are many cons, many already know about them.

Due to the issue of the weight of the concrete floors and the load on the walls made of aerated concrete, the acquaintance abandoned the floor slabs in favor of wooden beams. Although, according to the project, there were exactly plates. This led to the abandonment of the concrete staircase. Although, he was reinsured in another - aerated concrete house is built on monolithic columns.

I made a house project specifically for floor slabs:

At the design stage of the house, the choice was made towards the PC slabs (casting into formwork). Although, the city has a plant for the production of plates of the PB series. They differ in appearance: PB is smoother, ideal geometry and planes. Slabs are cut to arbitrary lengths and even diagonally. But their width is only 1.2 m. PC plates are standard length. Width: 1.2 and 1.5 m.

I also did not receive a clear answer in the conversation - does the plant producing PB plates work with private individuals, will they cut them to me according to the design length. Perhaps it was necessary to get to the factory, talk, dispel your doubts. But who needs a private person with a single order (and the order will be in 1-2 years).

But at the plant, where PC plates have been produced for decades, everything was clearly explained: you pay - you pick it up the next day. Everything is in the warehouse. If your size is not available, we will make it in three days. Therefore, I chose a more reliable option for myself. And PC plates are cheaper.

A separate article with a video should be given about the layout of floor slabs. This is an important point if you do the project at home yourself. The main thing is not to support them on the sides on the walls and the length of support at the edges should be in the optimal zone of 12-15 cm.

I paid for my set of plates, but only five of the six plates were available. The conveyor was under repair. I still planned to pick it up in two flights:

There was no need to look for a large hoisting machine with a loader crane. A large truck with a manipulator was driving through our village (building blocks were delivered to someone) and I, having estimated the size of the truck, wrote down the phone number. I phoned, clarified on the delivery of the plates (I drove - I did not) and agreed on a certain time on a convenient day.

The first five slabs on the site. I waited ten days for the second batch. During this time, he filled in the armopoyas and he gained the necessary strength.

Second run and second batch of slabs at the site. The cost of the flight is 8000 rubles. It would be possible to hire a semi-trailer with a manipulator and bring all the plates in one go, saving half the amount. But a semi-trailer, having driven into my site, would not have been able to go in reverse. There is a slight incline and not much space from the road to the gate (difficult to turn). And after the rain, delivery by such a long transport is generally impossible. There was a risk to look for a tractor to pull the semi-trailer. This time and the same costs as for two flights.
