Never lower the stall tray low (2 problems)

When installing the shower stall, they asked to install the pallet as low as possible. I had to explain to the owners that it would not work out much, and that's why.

The first problem

You can make the pallet lower by shortening its legs, but then the problem of draining immediately arises. The fact is that the apartment has already installed sewer pipes that are above the floor, and if it is lowered too low, then at best the water will not drain well, and at worst it will remain in the sump.

For a low installation, the sewage system had to be immediately built into the floor, in a private house, this is not a problem, but in an apartment, no one will give a slab to cut the floor slab.

Remains just raise the floor, that is, hide it in a layer of concrete, but in this case, you can immediately take a low pallet. And they already had the tiles laid, so this option also disappeared.

Second problem

It consists in trimming the bottom of the decorative screen, in principle, this is easily solved, but if you cut off too much, then the fasteners can go beyond the frame of the step. This means that even closed with decorative plugs may not look aesthetically pleasing.

The owners didn't like it, with age, it is difficult to climb over a high side, but my arguments, and the picture of the water that did not merge convinced them. To be honest, I am grateful to them for the lesson, in the house I will immediately put a low pallet, because the years go by.
