Why I always fertilize Gooseberries in September. My step by step recipe, thanks to which, the Harvest will grow at times

I want to tell you how I make gooseberry feeding in the fall. This is necessary to provide the plant with useful vitamins and minerals in the winter.

Growth and harvest for the next year will largely depend on how correctly I feed the gooseberries. Now I will tell you why and how I fertilize gooseberries in September and what I use for this.

Why do gooseberries need to be fed at the beginning of autumn?

1. There will be a good harvest next year.

2. Excellent preparation for winter, especially in harsh climates.

3. For fast and high-quality growth of young shoots.

Gooseberry bushes are fertilized in September, as it is in this month that the plant begins to lay new flower buds. They will give an excellent harvest next year.

But in the case when the plant lacks nutrients, the gooseberry will lay a small number of young buds; in such a situation, one should not expect a rich harvest.

When I just started growing gooseberries, I did not know this and did not understand why every year the plant practically does not produce fruits, unlike my neighbor. By the way, it was she who suggested this method to me.

She only fertilizes her plants with organic fertilizers. I have tried almost all types of fertilizers and found the best ones.

1. Organic fertilizers Is the best growth stimulant. Humus mixed with bone meal or wood ash. When there is no humus.

You can use the compost obtained after processing wormwood and rowan berries. In addition, wood ash is an environmentally friendly fertilizer.

And in the autumn, it is quite easy to get such a wonderful fertilizer. It will be enough to burn a couple of branches or tops or other plants.

2. Complex - the use of these types of fertilizers makes it possible to significantly save money. Most often, ammophos is used, less often nitrophos is used.

3. Mineral - gooseberry bushes require phosphorus and potassium for themselves. To do this, at the required time, the so-called superphosphates are poured under the plant, some are added in pure form, but I dilute with water, and this solution will be used as irrigation.

Diammophos can also be used, but as far as I know it is most suitable for acidic and super acidic soils.

I want to say that as soon as I started actively caring for the gooseberry bushes, the very next year I received a rich harvest. Now I recommend to everyone the method of feeding gooseberries in autumn.
