I put in an exhaust fan. I want to cry
Those who have been familiar with my blog for several days already know that in my work I do not insist on any version of the design, but first of all I prefer to implement the client's intention. In this case had to install an exhaust fan in the bathroom being repaired and do it in a way that, I think, not everyone will appreciate. I myself would have acted differently, but perhaps this option is suitable for someone else, so I am sharing it.
The fan is equipped with a so-called "jerk" and it is planned to run it this way, directly in the bathroom above the tray. For some reason, they did not want to use the switch, although it was next to the entrance to the bathroom, it was only necessary to bring a wire and change the switch to a double one.
The wiring was asked to do this:
- punch a hole in the wall;
- run the wire from the fan through the wall into the existing box on the back side;
- lead the wire along the box to the nearest outlet;
- put a plug at the end of the wire and turn it on if you need to use a fan.

Inside the box, which is under the stretch ceiling, it was possible to lay only the vertical section of the electric wire, since there it is slightly wider (photo 2). At the top, horizontally, the wire went over the box, since it did not fit into it. I had to nail it down with clips. At the point where the wire was released, we got such an unenviable hanging, which constantly dangles over the outlet and slightly interferes with using it - see. photo 3.
Perhaps people are comfortable, but I don't understand why this is better. I didn't think about it a lot, I just complied with the request, although along the way I offered a couple of options, but it didn't work.
In the fan itself there was a usual terminal, which was remembered by the fact that, despite the fact that it was new, it had already twisted threads. I had to throw it away and do the usual twist.
When plugged into the outlet, the wire forms a noticeable and not very attractive loop and, although this is in a constantly used living space, customers do not bother with such a counter. They are very unpretentious, as an example you can put to others.

After the renovation, mold appeared in the bathroom, although it never did. Why is that?
