Features of growing a noble laurel at home

It is best to choose plants that are not demanding on climatic conditions, tolerate dry air well and do not require frequent watering. A good idea for the office is a noble laurel.

This plant is familiar to everyone, because bay leaves are the most common seasoning for soups and stews of vegetable and meat dishes.

It is not difficult to grow bay leaves, and it looks very attractive, although it does not differ in spectacular flowering. Laurel can be grown on a windowsill, out of direct sunlight.

In the spring and summer, this plant requires moderate watering, and in autumn and winter, the laurel should be watered only occasionally.

If the air temperature is low, then watering can even be completely stopped. It is best to place the plant pot next to a window pane, where the air temperature in winter is always lower than in the center of the room.

As for the air humidity, it should be high enough for laurel. To provide the necessary moisture, laurel leaves should be regularly sprayed.

A less troublesome option would be to place a container of water next to the laurel. Evaporating, the water will create sufficient air humidity for the good development of the plant.
