How to clean a bathroom mirror if you don't have a special detergent at hand
Guests rarely come to me. It just so happened that I prefer to meet in a cafe. Therefore, the real stress for me was a call from a friend who urgently wanted to visit my modest home. A whirlwind swept through the apartment, shoving things into the closets and with rags at the ready.
Everything would be fine, but the liquid for washing the glasses ran out, and the mirror in the bathroom, as luck would have it, in splashes and drips. I tried to wipe it with a damp cloth, newspaper. All in vain. Only smeared it. It's good that I remembered in time the remedy that my grandmother used.
Ammonia or ammonia
In fact, these are different substances. If you do not delve into chemistry, ammonia is a gas, and ammonia is its 10% solution. A bottle of ammonia is usually in every medicine cabinet. The smell is very strong and dangerous when it gets on the mucous membrane.
As I wash mirrors and windows with ammonia
I draw 5 ml of ammonia with a syringe without a needle, dissolve it in 5 liters of water. It is not necessary to strictly follow the proportions. Even an approximate ratio will give a good result. I use a spray bottle. It's more familiar and more convenient.
With a microfiber cloth, I run it along the surface of the mirror in vertical and horizontal directions.
Why microfiber? It's simple. Plain cotton fabric leaves behind lint, which will also have to be removed afterwards. And why do double work when you can get a special cleaning cloth.
I finish washing the mirror with a newspaper. I crumple the sheet and quickly wipe off the stains. It's great if there are paper towels in the kitchen. Unlike the newspaper, they will definitely not leave the ink and cleaning will become even more productive.
Excellent result
That's all. The mirror shines with purity. There was no need to run to the store for funds. And the ammonia itself costs a penny, I bought a 40 ml bottle for 26 rubles.
