What is the most effective way to disinfect a greenhouse in autumn and whether it is necessary to change the soil in it.

Everyone knows very well that it is very convenient to grow vegetables in a greenhouse and, most importantly, fruitful. Rarely plants planted outdoors can surpass their counterparts basking in the comfort of a greenhouse climate.

But you have to pay for all the advantages, namely, a lot of work. And one of the important things is the disinfection of the greenhouse soil.

It is necessary to carry out the soil cleaning procedure in the greenhouse every autumn after harvesting and removing all plant residues.

Disinfection is especially important if vegetable crops were sick in the greenhouse: late blight, fungus and other infectious diseases.

In order to avoid or at least reduce the risk of contamination of crops in the next year, you can use the following techniques:

1. Some experienced greenhouses use smoke bombs, which are sold in specialty stores.

The smoke emanating from the lit checkers not only destroys adult insects and ticks, but also prevents new ones from appearing, killing the larvae.

Having processed the greenhouse in such a simple way, you should simply ventilate it.

2. In addition to smoke bombs, disinfection can be carried out in the usual ways for any housewife.

Bleach, as many know, copes well with the destruction of various infections.

In the greenhouse, I use not only bleach, but also copper sulfate.
To prepare a disinfectant solution, take 400 g of bleach and pour ten liters of water over it.

The tool is infused for a couple of hours, and then abundantly spray the entire greenhouse and soil.

In the same way, we use a solution of copper sulfate, for the preparation of which we need 100 g of the substance per ten liters of warm water.

There is no need to insist on the solution, but you can immediately start processing.

Usually, before disinfection, the walls and roof of the greenhouse are thoroughly washed with soapy water, and then treated with bleach or vitriol.

For greater effect, you can replace the soil in the greenhouse. But this is too time-consuming process, so it is enough to slightly update the soil by pouring fresh soil about 15-20 centimeters.
