A silent chef who will prepare breakfast 10 minutes before all family members wake up in the morning
Hello my beloved subscribers! I had free time, and I decided to share my joy with you: my friends gave me a multicooker for my birthday! I dreamed about her for a long time, and when the question arose about the gift, I voiced my desire. In the circle of my friends, it is so customary to give only the necessary things, the need for which is known in advance.
So, the Philips multicooker is already in my kitchen. Now I will talk about it in detail and describe its capabilities.
About external data and equipment
I really like the shape of this model. In stores, I saw devices of the correct geometry with clear lines of the case - I was not very impressed with such options. My miracle stove has a round shape, compact size, and the absence of any bulges and indentations on the body is only a plus, since it is easier to wash.
In the front part there is a touch panel with buttons for controlling options:
• on off;
• menu;
• delayed start;
• clock;
• minutes;
• time for preparing;
• product selection;
• start.
When the device is connected to the network, the display backlight comes on and the time that I set myself is displayed. This is the current time of day, not the cooking time, and is just a handy addition as it does not affect cooking.
The large button is designed to smoothly open and secure the lid.
Equipment
In addition to the multicooker itself, the kit includes the following items:
• metal bowl with a capacity of 3.5 liters, with divisions inside and a non-stick coating;
• plastic container for steaming;
• a spatula and spoon made of heat-resistant plastic that does not damage the non-stick coating;
• a book with recipes, accompanied by color illustrations;
• removable electric cord;
• removable steam valve;
• passport.
Operating modes
The stove operates in several modes, the choice of which must be made taking into account the planned dish.
1. Rice / buckwheat - suitable for any porridge.
2. Spaghetti - for all pasta, including dumplings, canelone, cappellini, tagliatelle and other types of Italian pasta.
3. Soup / boiling - for the first courses: borscht, pickle, vegetable or milk soup, hodgepodge.
4. Steamer - in this mode, manti, steam cutlets, vegetables, whole cuts of meat and other products that require steam are cooked.
5. Frying - the mode is intended for giving meat and vegetables a golden crust, for sautéing cut products.
6. Bake - I turn this button on when I am going to bake bread, biscuit, vegetable or meat pie.
7. Stew / braising - the name speaks for itself. Here I stew cabbage, lobio and thick creamy soups.
8. Reheating - the mode is intended for heating ready meals.
Benefits of a multicooker
Cooking in a multicooker is a pleasure. Porridges are crumbly, like in a Russian oven, they do not burn. The delayed start function turns on the stove at the right time, for example, 1 hour before waking up in the morning, which allows you to immediately enjoy a fresh breakfast upon waking up. The delayed start mode provides me and my household with a hot dinner, which does not need to waste time and energy when you come home from work.
Another plus is the handle for carrying the multicooker.
The handle is needed when you have to transport the multicooker, for example, to the country. Going out of town for a weekend, in the morning I put in a bowl all the necessary ingredients for preparing a dish that does not require intermediate stages of frying, and so on.
When I arrive, I simply add water to the container and turn on the oven. While I am busy with urgent matters, a hearty lunch is ready.
Below the handle attachment there are “ears” on both sides for fixing the spoon and scapula.
The only drawback is the relatively small volume of the bowl. For a large company, 3.5 liters is certainly not enough.
But this volume is enough for my family and therefore I am very happy.
