Rosreestr is going to use 3D laser scanning during cadastral work - to survey the area: this was reported in the press service of the department. It is clarified that 3D laser scanning will help to take images of the terrain with the highest accuracy.

The use of technology will make complex cadastral works of high quality and reduce labor costs. That is, certain Rosreestr services will be performed more quickly and without the presence of workers. The innovation is likely to be applied in the creation of a cartographic basis for the state register of real estate.

How it works?

Using laser scanning of an object, you can get a 3D model of the surrounding space. The devices create a "cloud" of points (in the amount from several thousand to several million) with spatial coordinates, which makes it possible to produce a three-dimensional image. Accuracy - to the millimeter. Such a system works like a radar. A laser beam is emitted, which, having reached the object, returns, while the distance data is recorded. The technology is used for geodetic tasks, architectural measurements and can be useful for complex cadastral services. The productivity of the method increases the productivity of work performance by 3 times.

Oleg Skufinsky, head of Rosreestr, noted that this year the capabilities of laser 3D scanning will be tested in one of the regions of the country (in which it is still unknown).

The politician discussed with researchers modern methods of aerial photography. Mishustin emphasized that these are economical and progressive methods that can be used for cadastral valuation, real estate accounting and creating city models. The head of government promised to contact the management of Rosreestr - with a request to pay attention to developments, three-dimensional laser scanning systems. In his message, the official mentioned the importance of new technologies for the mass valuation that serves today for taxing buildings.
