The law on the new procedure for the verification of metering devices came into force
Hello dear guests and subscribers of my channel. I hasten to inform you that, starting from September 24, 2020, the law on a new procedure for calibrating meters came into force. What has changed there and what you need to know, I'll tell you now.
The main essence of the changes
So, according to the new law, starting from September 24 of this year, now the only one legally an important confirmation of the verification of the metering device is an entry in the electronic register Rosstandart.
So now paper acts (certificates), which have been issued since September 24, have no legal force. Of course, they can still be handed over to you (at your request). But now this is just a reference, nothing more.
I also want to emphasize that all certificates issued before this day are still valid until the end of their term.
You now have the right to have the company representatives who verify your meter enter all the required data in the register right in front of you.
Remember that the risk that the data will not be included in the Rosstandart register lies with the owner of the meter. And in case of trouble, it is the owner of the device who will have to prove in court the fact of the check performed.
So it is better to personally control the entry of data and immediately make sure that all the data is entered correctly.
Of course, the law sets aside quite a long time for entering data into the register. But this mostly applies to verifications that take place at large enterprises. When checking an individual metering device and during its normal operation, data, in principle, can be entered directly on the spot.
How to check your data on a metering device
In order to make sure that all the data has been entered, you need to go to the portal and go to the tab "Information about the results of verification of measuring instruments (View) "and in the" Search "field enter the serial number of the meter and press "To find".
On the page that opens, you can also find out the date of the next verification of the meter.
I also want to clarify that for now, namely until the end of 2020, there is a moratorium on the verification of all household meters, which was introduced at the very beginning of the pandemic. So even if your verification deadline has passed, all sales organizations are required to accept your testimony without any unnecessary questions.
