How the idea came

There was an old wooden garage with a wooden floor that was always rotting. The family got a second car and it was decided to build a new garage for two cars. There was little time for the construction site, since the vacation was short, and then a long business trip. It was necessary to do everything in 2 months.

Garage specifications and budget

The size of the future garage is 7 * 6 meters. There were two gates and a viewing hole. We planned and built a garage with our father-in-law together. I considered different options for execution - from blocks to metal, but settled on a metal frame and corrugated board. I will say in advance - I did it in 250 thousand. rubles and did not want to get into debt for a penny. This is the most suitable financial option for me.

Excavation and foundation

The old garage was successfully destroyed. A place has been prepared for pouring the foundation. The site is located low and in order to raise the floor to the level of the road, it was necessary to pour earth and sand. At the rear wall, the height of the embankment was about one meter.

He began to dig the foundation by hand, he wanted to save money, but after half an hour his hands were filled with bloody calluses. For this reason, an excavator was called in and the issue with a trench for the foundation was resolved within an hour.

Further, the formwork was prepared, holes were drilled with a gas drill for installing pipes 80 * 3 cm in size. The pipes were installed, fittings were laid, the mixer was called and the whole thing was filled with concrete.

About 20 cm was missing to the road level. Therefore, it was decided to lay out one row of gas silicate. An observation hole was dug, measuring 3 * 1 m, depth 170 cm. The pit is lined with red brick. A metal frame is made from the inside so that the earth does not squeeze out the walls. 4 kamaz of sand were brought.

Metalwork

After that, the trusses were welded, since I did not want the garage inside to be divided by any pillars. The roof is gable. With the help of a gazelle with a manipulator, the trusses are installed on top of the pipes and welded. Further, the walls and roof of the garage are made of corrugated board. Well, this is how the garage remained when I went on a business trip.

Then without me, but under my leadership, the concrete floor in the garage was poured, as well as the concrete area in front of the garage. On the left there are conventional double-leaf gates, and on the right - sectional gates with an electric drive. Now both of our cars are wintering in the garage. This year I plan to insulate the walls and roof.
