Why I gave up on-store baked goods and loved the oven at home

With the advent of a child in the house, one has to take a more responsible attitude to the quality of products. In one century, having looked into the composition of an ordinary white loaf, I was surprised to find there, in addition to the classic water, flour, butter, yeast and salt with sugar, an "improver" that did not please me at all. So in our family the question arose about buying a bread machine.

Criterias of choice

The priorities were: reliability, dough preparation function, delay timer and "lifting" cost of the apparatus. I also looked at the noise level, the weight of the loaf, and the ability to add additional ingredients during the kneading process. As a result, we chose the Philips HD9015 / 30 bread maker.

The bread maker is easy to operate. It is possible to choose the weight of the "brick" and adjust the brownness of the crust. There are 12 cooking programs in total, 10 of them are baked goods, the rest are dough and jam.

For six months of operation, I have tried almost all the recipes from the attached brochure. Yes, and has conducted many of her own culinary experiments. First, of course, I had to adjust. It is important to strictly observe the proportion of dry matter and liquid, and also to use only high-quality ingredients. In the recipe book, in addition to themselves, there is useful and interesting information about the properties of different flours, as well as measures of weight and volume for a glass and a spoon from the kit.

I advise you to remember them, not all marks are applied on the devices themselves and they are poorly read.

When you cook bread, make sure that there is no draft, if the oven draws in cold air and there is a temperature drop, the product may shrink. This only applies to yeast dough. In general, the baked goods are porous, everything is mixed evenly and baked well.

Basically, the process of making bread takes from 3.5 to 4 hours, there are, of course, "express" options, but then the crumb is not so airy.

The recipe book is really decent, it offers many tasty and healthy baking options,

my favorite, the yeast-free Easter cake, appears on our table more often than once a year.

In the "yeast dough" mode, any suitable consistency is perfectly mixed. I cooked both shortbread and unleavened - the quality is at a height, however, sometimes you have to mix a little with a spatula so that flour does not accumulate in the corners

The delayed start timer is a separate love. For me, there is nothing more pleasant in the morning than waking up from the smell of fresh homemade bread and understanding that you no longer need to interfere with anything on your own.
