3 Houseplants That Will Grow Without Problems in the Shadow
Many indoor plant lovers have faced a problem: there are few well-lit places in the apartment, there is nowhere else to put new plants. But they cannot grow without good lighting! Or can they?
Indeed, some indoor plants do not need too much light - they grow without any problems in shaded areas. Here are 3 of my favorite plants that are light-minded.
Chlorophytum
One of the most popular indoor plants is literally the first thing that comes to mind when you start thinking about unpretentious pets.
Indeed, chlorophytum does not need special care - it likes to be in the shaded areas of the room, it does not require feeding or any other care efforts.
It needs to be watered and sprayed from time to time, that's probably all. In return, he can delight his owners with a spectacular cascade of his narrow leaves.
Modern hybrid varieties of chlorophytum can have an unusual color or shape, while caring for them does not become more difficult.
Epipremnum
One of the finest indoor lianas. Epipremnum leaves in the form of graceful hearts can have a variety of colors - from the classic light green to white or yellowish pattern.
Shoots can be incredibly long - up to 6 meters. With all its decorative advantages, epipremnum is completely undemanding to living conditions.
He practically does not need lighting, he does not like excessive cold, but it grows very rapidly at normal room temperature.
The only thing this plant really needs for gorgeous growth is regular watering and periodic feeding.
Alocasia
This plant is not yet so popular with our flower growers - and completely in vain. It looks really impressive. On thin, tall petioles amazing leaves grow - very large, heart-shaped, with wavy edges.
Their color can be dark green, almost silver or purple, almost all varieties have a distinctive feature - a bright glossy sheen. Alocasia is more suitable for growing by experienced growers.
The thing is that you will have to take care of this beautiful, amazing plant a lot - regular feeding, moisture and temperature.
But it is completely undemanding to the amount of light, it can grow beautifully even in dense shade and delight with its attractive and unusual appearance.
