What does not like the flowers that you grow with such love at home, and they are in no hurry to please with lush flowering? You've probably asked yourself this question at least once.

Perhaps it was in the wrong temperature regime, lighting, feeding... But often they do not even guess about the real reason. Indoor flowers may not be suitable for the water used to water them.

The tap water flowing from our taps is generally only suitable for domestic purposes: washing dishes and floors, and taking a shower. Despite the fact that its composition varies from region to region, in most cases it is completely unsuitable for drinking, cooking, sometimes even for washing without pretreatment. She also does not like indoor flowers.

The thing is that this water is "hard", it contains an excessive amount of mineral salts and other substances, making it unsuitable for watering plants. Fortunately, there is a way to deal with the problem - you need to make it "soft".

I share a step-by-step recipe for how I do it:

I purchase or take out from stocks everything I need: a thick clean cloth or a large amount of gauze, sterile cotton wool (not cotton pads!), activated carbon in tablets - one plate is enough for 10 tablets.

· I put a layer of cotton wool on the first layer of fabric or three-fold gauze. I put a layer of crushed activated carbon on the cotton wool.

· I repeat the layer of cotton wool and coal.

· Put another layer of cloth or folded gauze on top.

I put the resulting filter on top of the container, into which I will collect water for irrigation. I put the container under the tap and make a very weak set of hot water.

(High temperature is important! Hot water is softer than cold water from the same tap).

· Water slowly seeps into the container through the filter. I am waiting for the amount of moisture I need to collect. I throw away the used filter, cool the water in the container. I water my indoor plants.

· I enjoy the vigorous growth and magnificent flowering of plants.

There are several ways to soften tap water, but I recommend this one, despite the seeming laboriousness, it is very effective. Take the time to delight your plants with soft, clean water for a while - believe me, you will notice the result.
