Do the tips of the leaves of home flowers dry in Winter? The simplest way to help, which I have been using for many years

One of the most common problems of the winter season that indoor flower owners face is that the tips of their leaves suddenly begin to dry out.

Fortunately, she has a simple solution that I decided to share with everyone who is partial to lush, healthy homemade greenery!

The essence of the problem is often that with the beginning of the heating season, the air humidity in the room decreases significantly, and even if the plants are watered generously, their aboveground part is thirsty.

Therefore, it is necessary to do the following:

· Remove flower pots from batteries and any other heating devices;

If the above action is impossible - put the pot in a tray with wet expanded clay, moss or pebbles poured with water, which, as it evaporates, will increase the humidity of the air;

· Once every 2-3 days irrigate plants with water from a spray bottle.

Spraying is contraindicated only for rare varieties, the leaves of which have a kind of "fluffy" surface, for example, geraniums.

Water for irrigation and spraying should be slightly warm and settled or filtered, you can also use melted water from collected clean, freshly fallen snow. Some scholars argue for the enormous benefits of the latter.

Drying of the tips of the leaves is also often triggered by an increase in air temperature in rooms.

In fact, heat around + 27-32 ° C is needed only for very rare species originating from tropical latitudes, which, in principle, are more common in greenhouses than at home.

So it turns out that the "heat" that comes in winter in some houses turns out to be fatal for most fresh flowers.

Therefore, if the tips of the leaves begin to dry, it is imperative to check the air temperature and if it is high, move the flowers to a place where it is cooler by 6-10 ° C.

Finally, I consider it important to clarify one more point. During the winter months, drying of the tips of the leaves may indicate a general weakening of the plant.

Moreover, against the background of seemingly ordinary and good care for him. And this is often explained simply - by drafts that can easily harm indoor flowers!

Therefore, for the prevention of the appearance of dried leaves, it is very important not only to water the plants with high quality, to provide them with the proper temperature regime, but also to protect them from drafts.
