Interior design: many have received a “Russian scandi”, which, in contrast to the renovation of twenty years ago, looks great
The Scandinavian style, popular in the world since the fifties of the last century, reached Russia by the tenth years of the XXI century. At the same time, the concepts of "hygge", "lagom" and photographs of Stockholm apartments from personal blogs and photo hosting sites came to the masses.
It was new, fresh, without a Soviet wall with crystal and beige wallpaper, so I liked it, caught on, fans and adherents appeared. But the majority are adherents of the “Russian Scandi”, and not at all that “Scandi”, the real one, from Sweden, Denmark, Norway.
Orange-brown furniture, curtains with gold tassels and lambrequins, linoleum, photowall-paper were thrown off the steamer of our time, not without pleasure. Everything Soviet was thrown there, and what was customarily included in the concept of "European-quality repair". We took a reference point to Ikeev's furniture and beautiful whitewashed photographs of interiors in the Scandi style.
And many received a “Russian scandi”, which, in contrast to the renovation of twenty years ago, looks great, but not very much compared to the interior of a Swedish apartment. These are stretch ceilings, white walls, artificial fireplaces, hog tiles or hexagons, plastic windows, laminate flooring, furniture from Ikea, everything is inexpensive and the same.
The Scandinavian style, no matter how simple it may seem, is very difficult and is distinguished by high-quality materials, natural, environmentally friendly and tactilely pleasant, there is a lot of wood in the interiors, good textiles, often designer furniture, new or successful refurbished.
There is a difference between the real Scandi style, careless and expensive, and the Russian Scandi, which is noticeable and not in favor of the latter. But, frankly, in the Russian realities there are few opportunities for creating a Scandinavian interior, people choose from of what is, they are looking for something similar and how they can arrange rooms, borrowing ideas from photographs of designer scandi repair. They organize a bright, functional, comfortable space, albeit from simpler materials and not too original.
I think that over time, many will be able to develop a good visual experience, be bolder to bring in the individual and not ideal, successfully arrange accents, love roughness, dissimilarity and details that may not be right for Scandi, but for them - valuable, important, allowing to show yourself.
