Gorgeous flowers that you can safely sow in winter - they will rise early and bloom in spring and summer

Traditionally, sowing of seeds of annual flowers occurs either in the spring directly into the ground, or in boxes in the house, followed by planting seedlings on the street. But there is unusual sowing method, which is produced in autumn, which is called winter.

It is interesting that annuals grown in this way sprout earlier than those that were sown in the spring in the ground and bloom, respectively, also earlier.

In winter, such seeds find themselves in conditions of natural stratification. This hardens them, providing better resistance to adverse weather conditions.

There are proven flowers that can be sown in this way.

One of them - alissum. This groundcover annual will bloom in June and throughout the fall, until the cold comes. Allisum looks very nice along the paths, near the gazebos, in a separate meadow.

The color can be chosen for every taste - pink, purple, white, and so on. The main thing is not to plant in the immediate vicinity of him, there are taller flowers around him, otherwise this crumb will not be visible.

Marigold will calmly sprout after sowing in the winter. These unpretentious flowers are probably known to every housewife. They also bloom all summer until the fall frost.

There is a wide variety of varieties, both low marigolds and medium and high. Flowers are solid and mixed. Coloring from cream and even white to dark burgundy shades.

Kosmeya - a fairly tall annual with delicate flowers similar to daisies. There are light and dark pink shades.

Nasturtium also a non-capricious flower that has the same long flowering. It blooms with bright orange, red and burgundy flowers.

By the way, lotions and infusions for problem skin can be prepared from the petals. It grows quickly, usually the varieties are not tall, but very widespread.

It may be enough to plant only 4-5 seeds on a flower bed, so that after a while they fill a large area.

Phlox Drummond pleases with its unique flowering even after small first frosts. Usually 30-40 cm high. Flowering lasts all summer.

If such annuals have already grown in the garden, they may well sprout up by self-seeding. For planting, before winter, the optimal sowing time is when the air temperature is 5-10 degrees Celsius.

In order not to forget to sow them, you can do this at the same time as sowing winter garlic. If you choose this method on the main territory of the site, in the spring you will no longer have to think about planting annuals.
