Spacex released a note stating that their new liquid propellant rocket engine, called Raptor successfully passed fire checks. The company plans to use this engine on a spacecraft. Starshipand also on the accelerator Super heavy.
The engineering group of the company has shared a short video showing the process of passing engine fire checks Raptor. These tests were conducted at a specialized test site in the city of McGregor, which is located in the US state of Texas.
Unfortunately, no technical parameters and detailed test results were provided to the general public.

It also became known that the constructed apparatus Starship will have six engines of the type Raptor (the engine has an oxygen-methane base). At the same time, three engines will be designed to operate and maneuver in dense layers of the atmosphere, and the remaining three will be oriented to operate in open space.
A major presentation on the spacecraft is planned for October this year, and by this date they want to complete full flight tests of the propulsion system.
For this, the missing controls and a simple fairing will be additionally mounted. After that, the mockup with engines will rise to an altitude of 18 km and return back to the launch pad.
