From the age of 19, Tamara Gverdtsiteli won many competitions, and then one day a turning point came when it was necessary to make a choice that determined the further fate.

Before those events in the life of a celebrity, sad events took place that she was very worried about and which forced her to make a fateful decision. First, her parents, whom she adored, divorced. Secondly, because of the beginning of the collapse of the USSR, the clashes between Georgians and Russians, the artist's husband sided with the Georgians, who were ready to bring Russians from the Republic. And Tamara could not accept aggression and reconcile with other views.

When a gloomy period comes, a person perceives any opportunity as a ray of hope and tries to grab hold of it like a straw. This ray of hope for improvement and a way out of the darkness seemed to her Michel Legrand with his invitation to Paris. The artist could not refuse the offer of the world famous French composer and singer, fascinated by her unforgettable and inimitable vocals.

For 2 years of life in France and successful performances, Tamara Gverdtsiteli has repeatedly persuaded her husband to move to live with her. But every time he had different excuses... either he cannot quit his job, then he does not want to leave the country in a difficult time... Once the singer, after another refusal of her husband to family reunification realized that he was afraid of losing his job and country, but not her, not his spouse, once beloved... And she did not hold on to the happiness that had not been in their relationship. Their marriage collapsed even before her departure, she just realized this only in separation.

Tamara returned to Tbilisi only in transit to Moscow. I stopped by to pick up my son and mother. Although the singer is touring in many countries, since then she considers Russia and Moscow her home.

Happiness lingered in her life, but it came... After a divorce, after a while Tamara was gifted with great love, which she later called the only one in her entire life. On a tour in America, she met her fate named Dmitry, an emigrant from Baku, by that time held in America as a lawyer.

Dmitry is probably the dream of any creative person. He valued his beloved woman, and was even ready to give up his job, move to live in Moscow and tour with his wife. If only to be with her and never lose. The artist herself still calls this one love all-consuming and endless... and is suddenly interrupted, remembering Dmitry's untimely departure. His heart suddenly stopped when she was on the other side of the world... in Moscow. Couldn't help.

Tamara Gverdtsiteli, after a few more inconsolable years and dreary loneliness, made an attempt to create another family, but she turned out to be much sadder than the first, the relationship with her first husband. The singer did not live long with her last husband and still does not even want to remember his name once again. In one of the interviews, she hinted that only once and for a very short period was she happy with Dmitry, and twice tried to find happiness where he was not. Since 2005, Gverdtsiteli has kept his heart closed, living only with his son Sandro and the stage.
